For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Former North Campus Elder
Having recently served two consecutive three-year terms as an elder at Bethlehem, Kurt is on a sabbatical year in 2013. At the All-Church Annual Meeting on December 15, 2013, the congregation will vote to affirm Kurt's eldership for another three-year term to begin on January 1, 2014.
Kurt grew up in Los Angeles and accepted Jesus into his heart at an early age. He continued to grow in his relationship with the Lord in college through the ministry of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Kurt & Heather were married in 1990 and were active participants and leaders in the young adults ministry at their church in San Diego, as well as in the local chapter of the Christian Medical and Dental Fellowship during Kurt’s medical training. They came to Minneapolis in 1995 for Kurt’s residency training and have been involved at Bethlehem since then. Kurt & Heather have led a shepherd group in their home for the last 10 years, and Kurt has been involved in TBI. Heather has served as a Kindergarten team leader at the North Campus. They have two children, Samuel and Sarah. God has given Kurt a heart for his Word and longing to serve the church.
