Dan & Beth Gurtner have been members at Bethlehem since 2006. Dan was saved as a freshman in college and discipled in college Bible classes.

Early in his studies, Dan was given a passion to worshipfully mine the riches of God’s Word through careful and prayerful study. It was in this setting that Dan sensed a clear calling to ministry.

After college he attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and then returned to his native Pittsburgh where he met and married Beth, and served as an interim pastor for two years. Dan continued his education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, the University of St. Andrews (Scotland), and Tyndale House (Cambridge, England).

Dan & Beth moved to the Twin Cities in 2005 when he took a position as a professor of New Testament at Bethel Seminary. Dan Gurtner was ordained by Bethlehem in May 2009. Dan teaches regularly for The Bethlehem Institute and in his small group.

The Gurtners live in Shoreview and have three children: Matthew, Kyra, and Elisha.
