Where Is the Heart of the Banker?

... in the hand of the Lord.

I get this from Proverbs 21:1, “The king's [banker’s] heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.”

Please pray with us over the next several days that God will work in the hearts of the bankers we’re working with to accept Bethlehem’s purchase agreement.

Earlier today, Klaas Van Zee (Bethlehem elder and chairman of our South Campus Selection and Development Committee) sent this to the elders:

Brothers,

The agent for the bank that owns the Lakeville property we are pursuing called me this morning. The bank has just received an updated appraisal, which is their first step in their review of our offer. There are several other banks that are owed money on the property. Since it now has an updated appraisal, the bank that owns it can confer with these other banks to arrive at a response to our offer. Please pray for God to be glorified in the process and for Bethlehem to find favor in the eyes of all the lenders.
