Christians, let us be careful what we say.
This week, we’re highlighting speech reflecting popular culture that seems incongruous when heard in the mouth of a professing Christian.
Troublesome Saying Number One: “Good luck.”
There is no such thing. Not a chance. We aren’t lucky—we’re fortunate. It is God, not luck, that has power to bless, so we say things like “God bless you.” Luck has no power whatsoever, for it does not exist.
