So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Our Response to the Earthquake in Haiti
This just in from our Global Diaconate task force ...
In response to the January 12 earthquake in Haiti, Bethlehem (through the Global Diaconate) is doing the following:
1) Partnering with one of our missionaries through Samaritan’s Purse: We are giving $5,000 to Samaritan’s Purse to support Dr. Steve Nelson’s two-week medical service in Haiti. Steve and Dorothy Nelson are serving with HCJB in Ecuador, and Dr. Nelson is joining a Samarian’s Purse team on January 14 to provide greatly needed medical care. To provide additional funding to Haiti relief with Samaritan’s Purse, go to Samaritan’s Purse Haiti Relief.
2) Supporting the efforts of World Relief: World Relief is providing a church-based response with medical kits, food, and water. Bethlehem will provide a $5,000 contribution to partner in those efforts. To contribute additional funds, go to World Relief Haiti Response.

3) Information-Gathering Meeting: Come join us for prayer and an informational meeting on Haiti. Craig Pixley, from World Relief, will give an update on their disaster response efforts and strategy. Also, we will brainstorm ways Bethlehem can continue to help. If you feel led to help us respond to this disaster and others around the world, please join us at the Downtown Campus for this gathering on Tuesday, January 19, 7:00–8:30 p.m. in Room 111.
