Outreach Workshop

This Saturday, November 29, we have our second shepherd leader workshop of the year. The interactive workshop is 9:30-11:30am at the North Campus and will focus on equipping your group to share about Jesus with those around them. Pastor Vince Johnson and his team will share and answer questions regarding the role that outreach should play in our small groups.

Because every part of the Christian life is to be lived for the glory of God before others and for the spread of Jesus' name in the world (1 Cor. 10:23-33, Matt. 28:18-20), we desire our small groups to be eagerly dedicated to the mission of seeing more and more people drawn into the joy of our salvation.

While the vast majority of our time in a small group will be spent with the same 6-12 people, we should feel a burden to see the gospel shared in our neighborhoods, workplaces, classrooms, etc. In our times together we can encourage and inspire one another to proclaim the word boldly among the lost.

Identify those around you who have not know the Jesus whom you love and worship. Pray together for them. Invite them to things you do with your small group (dinner, bowling, picnic, etc.). Hold one another accountable to pursue those people and love them well with the truth and with acts of love and service.

If you're interested in learning about how to lead your small group in reaching out to others, or if you just want to grow as a leader and interact with other leaders, we encourage you to attend our workshop this weekend.

So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.—Romans 12:5
