My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not your mother’s teaching. Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck.
Life Together: Cheaper than Chick-fil-A!
Saturday morning, while I was teaching at our South Site, a young woman poked her head in to say to one of the people in the class, "Your chicken is in the office kitchen refrigerator."
Obviously curious, the others and I asked for an explanation. They said that chicken was on sale at a local store for $1.49/lb, but you had to buy at least 40 pounds. So, the go-getter in this small group called around, found interested families, and coordinated the purchase and distribution of tens of pounds of affordable poultry. Needless to say, chicken is on the menu (or perhaps is the menu) at several homes across the south suburbs.
It's part of life together, caring about each other's everyday needs. And it's way cheaper than Chick-fil-A!

So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.—Romans 12:5
