  • Foretells events to them (Mark 13:23).
  • Avenges them (Luke 18:7).
  • Justifies them (Romans 8:33).
  • Reveals his purpose to them (Romans 9:11).
  • Preserves them as a remnant (Romans 11:5).
  • Manifests grace to them (vs. requiring works) (Romans 11:7).
  • Renews them (Colossians 3:10).
  • Unites them (e.g., Jew and Gentile) (Colossians 3:11).
  • Provides intercessory prayer for them (1 Thessalonians 1:2–4).
  • Grants them faith (Titus 1:1).
  • Sets them apart by his Spirit (1 Peter 1:2).
  • Provides clear instruction for them (2 Peter 1:5–11).
