What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
Three Things Jesus Did
“Here are three things Jesus did while I was at BCS for four years,” says Benjamin Jensen, who just completed a Master of Divinity degree:
1) Through wise and godly teachers, I was shown not only what the Bible says, but how to read it well for myself. Like that old adage: "Give a man a verse, and he'll be fed for a day. Teach a man to read the Word, and he'll be full for a lifetime (and beyond)."
2) My heart was knit together in love with my brothers in Christ (Colossians 2:2). They will be lifelong friends, which is a rare diamond in our self-absorbed world.
3) I believe now, more than ever in my life, that the gospel of Jesus Christ is beautiful and powerful and life-giving, and that it affects EVERYTHING.
In short, I learned much knowledge, yes, and that is good. But more significant: By the grace of God, I learned love.
