Pray for the Pastors

The couple dozen pastors of Bethlehem Baptist Church meet all day (Tuesday) for prayer and planning.

Left to their own devices, spiritual leaders can operate in the flesh or be stymied by run-of-the-mill obstacles. But if the Spirit of God were to move with favor, the pastors might worship more earnestly, pray more fervently, study with more clarity, collaborate more harmoniously, address problems more creatively, work more powerfully, plan with more insight, and serve with more grace.

So, ask God to strengthen them with power through his Spirit in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith—that they, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that they may be filled with all the fullness of God.
