Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
Night and Day
Paul tells Timothy that he prayed night and day for him.
Why pray “night and day”? Prayer is a sign of care; thanksgiving is a sign of contentment, even joy. Paul’s desire is that Timothy, who began well under Lois and Eunice, continue to move forward. So Paul demonstrates care by praying, and rejoices in the progress he observes.
