My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not your mother’s teaching. Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck.
Jesus Asks Questions

In I Once Was Lost, Don Everts and Doug Schaupp observe that “Jesus is asked 183 questions in the Gospels. He answers just three of them—and he asks 307 questions back.”
While I have not taken the time to confirm their math, I see the trajectory. Jesus doesn’t merely offer formulae, but offers himself. And he probes. He is never cornered in the dock. The Bible is about Jesus, not merely about his answers to our questions.
