In Minnesota more than 30 babies per day are killed through abortion. According to the Minnesota Department of Health, there were 11,505 abortions in Minnesota last year, and that total is down 883 from the previous year.

40 Days for Life runs September 28–November 6 and is a campaign of prayer, fasting, peaceful vigil, and community visibility on behalf of the unborn.

The prolife cause is the most altruistic movement I know. Do something for the unborn during this 40-day campaign.

• Fast in prayer for moms of the unborn.
• Make a gift to a prolife center. New Life Family Services (Downtown & North campuses) and Amnion (South Campus) are the organizations Bethlehem supports.
• Volunteer with Bethlehem’s Sanctity of Life Task Force (contact Wayne King at 612-716-1751).
• Write an informed and respectful letter to a legislator. See addresses.
• Write an informed and respectful letter to the editor of your local paper.
• Give a speech in your class.
