Possibility and impossibility—it’s all the same with God. Justin Hoover connects that with Good News Festival & Clinic.

Guest post by Justin Hoover, Director for the GNFC

God sits on his throne before his Church today and says, “Nothing is impossible with me.” Indeed. Over the course of three Good News Festival & Clinic events (in June, August, October), God, through his Spirit …

  • Empowered more than 180 volunteers from Bethlehem Baptist Church, Jubilee Church, Jericho Road, Bethlehem’s Hispanic Ministries and Native American ministry (Maajiigin Ministries), and others to show and share the love of Christ to their neighbors.
  • Equipped dozens of laypeople (over three trainings) to do the work of evangelism.
  • Sent his people out—to Franklin and Nicollet avenues, to every door of Elliot Twins (across the street from the Downtown Campus), to Little Earth Native American community, and to hundreds of homes in Phillips and Powderhorn neighborhoods to knock on our neighbor’s doors and share the gospel with them—passing out roughly 4,000 invitations to the three Good News Festivals combined.
  • Raised an unconscious toddler to life who had stopped breathing in the parking lot of the 16/33 Center at the August 31 event.
  • Brought more than 400 of neighbors, nine of whom were Muslims, to see the love of Christ displayed and to hear the message of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
  • Opened blind eyes and dead hearts to see that Jesus Christ is the Bread of Life and the Living Water for their eternal souls.

Nothing is impossible with God—this is just the beginning! Imagine what God can do through a life that is willing to boldly proclaim the gospel and radically serve our neighbors with Christ’s love. Imagine the Somalis, Latinos, Native Americans, and peoples from many other nations worshiping Jesus as King of kings and Lord of Lords in Minneapolis.

Imagine the power of the Holy Spirit being poured out upon his Church as we storm the gates of hell and see his kingdom built on earth. Imagine the sanctuary at Bethlehem filled with people who are burning with a passion to reach the lost for the glory of God—and broken people from the neighborhood who long to know him.

Let us dream big dreams for God because nothing is impossible with him! (Luke 1:37).
