Father-Honoring Post #4

As Alzheimer’s robs my father of the present, the grace of the Lord is still evident in him. He has spent his life serving the Lord in pastoral ministry with gentleness and wisdom. And now, although conversations can now be challenging, many of the phrases he remembers to say are gentle and affirming. He graces us with, “You are wonderful parents,” “Christ has given me all that I need,” and “I am so thankful for my family.” It is my prayer that my heart would be so anchored in Christ that when my mind is dying away I would still testify to his goodness.
