I recently visited Celebration Community Church, in the Orlando area, pastored by Gregg Heinsch (former apprentice at Bethlehem). Printed on the worship bulletin was this sermon-related statement by Samuel Butler: “Christ and the Church: If he were to apply for a divorce on the grounds of cruelty, adultery, and desertion, he would probably get one.”
The good news is that he will never apply.
