Is Anything Historic Going On Around You?

Historic events are important events, making a difference. Grateful and alert believers look back over their individual and collective lives and thank God for events of unusual significance.

This past weekend saw the inaugural convocation of Bethlehem College and Seminary (video footage will be available in a few weeks). This institution is derived from a decade of refining The Bethlehem Institute and is an effort to conduct academically rigorous, pastorally immersed, church-based theological education—an approach hailed by keynote speaker, Al Mohler, President of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, as an idea that should eventually be imitated by thousands of churches.

The convocation saw the installation of Dr. John S. Piper as Chancellor and Dr. Timothy Tomlinson as President.
