My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not your mother’s teaching. Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck.
We’re Calling on Parents, Students, the Gifted, and the Weak
How do you know if and where God may be leading you to minister?
We have seen God work in many ways. Here are four possibilities:
- Perhaps you are a parent who has children in these programs. You pray and sense God’s urging to join one of them in class as a small group leader.
- Perhaps you are a college student who wants to get plugged into church life. You pray and find out more and God leads you to Disability Ministry.
- Maybe you are a closet guitarist and you love to sing praises to God but are not quite sure how to serve. You see an opening for leading worship in the 3rd Grade classroom … and pray, attend training, and then joyfully lead a class of little ones to praise God
Maybe you see the opportunities to serve and would really love to do it, but you feel so inadequate and weak. Recall 2 Corinthians 9:8 …
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
May the Lord gently lead you into the place of ministry he has for you this Fall.
