It was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord, and ... the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the Lord, "For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever."

Here are some ways you can participate in our instrumental ministry:

Bethlehem Downtown Orchestra

  • The orchestra plays in the Downtown worship services once a month and in seasonal concerts throughout the year. Brass, string, woodwind, and percussion players are invited to participate.
  • The orchestra is open to adults (age 18 & above) who have at least a high school-level of playing ability. New musicians are welcome throughout the year.  If you would like to join or receive more information, contact our orchestra director, Aaron Jameson.
  • Rehearsals are twice a month on Monday evenings from 7–9pm in the Downtown Sanctuary (September–May).  A detailed schedule is given to all orchestra members.

North Campus Instrumentalists

  • Instrumentalists of all kinds participate in worship services at the North Campus as soloists or as part of brass, string, and woodwind ensembles. Individuals and groups play throughout the year.
  • Rehearsal times vary depending on the group and the services in which they are playing.

Strings in Service

  • Strings in Service contributes to the worship services at our three campuses and periodic community outreach opportunities by playing praise-song and hymn arrangements on violin, viola, cello, and bass.
  • The group is open to all ages from beginning Suzuki preschoolers to adults.
