See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. [Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.]
We would love for you to come to one of our Hispanic Ministry activities! Our theme this summer is “Proclaiming Christ” and we would love for you to join us! All are welcome.
9:00am Interpretation of the Worship Service (Downtown Campus)
Every Sunday, we offer simultaneous interpretation of the English worship service into Spanish (at the Downtown Campus only). Headphones can be picked up at the Welcome Desk before the service.
11:00am Hispanic Sunday School (Room 307, Downtown Campus)
We are currently studying Systematic Theology in our Sunday School class. This class is a great option for Spanish-speaking parents whose children attend Sunday School for kids during the second hour of worship.
11:00am Celebration Service (Last Sunday of the Month, Room 307, Downtown Campus)
Once a month (last Sunday of the month*), we have a worship service in Spanish during our normal Sunday School class. We sing together, hear from God's word, and have a time of fellowship afterwards.
Meeting dates for 2013: January 27, February 24, (no meeting in March), April 28, May 26, June 30, July 28, August 25, September 29, October 27, November 17 (*third Sunday), December 15 (*third Sunday)
5:30pm Downtown Connection (Peavey Park)
During the summer, we have a time of evangelism and outreach on Wednesday evenings at Peavey Park (located at the corner of Franklin Ave and Chicago Ave). We enjoy dinner together, hear an evangelistic message, and play games together in our effort to reach our neighbors with the hope of the gospel. Spanish interpretation is offered during the message, so please invite your Spanish-speaking neighbors!
