Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Wednesdays, January 11-April 19, 6:30-8:30pm
The Old Testament Survey courses survey the message of the Old Testament, both at the individual book level and at the canonical level. This course is an attempt to present book-by-book what Jesus proclaimed when he said, “everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Students will study each book of the Bible in depth to understand its main message and how it contributes the Bible’s overall message: the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Emphasis will be given to tracing the flow of redemptive history, showing how the entire Old Testament points to, prepares the way for, and is fulfilled by Jesus the Messiah.
This is the second of the two-semester course, progressing through roughly, the second half of the Old Testament, following the order of the Hebrew Canon (Jeremiah through 2 Chronicles).
[Note: Old Testament Survey 1 and 2 should be taken in order.]
