Serving at Union Gospel Mission

Union Gospel Mission is a Christian service agency that seeks to serve Jesus Christ by meeting the physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs of the economically disadvantaged men, women, and children of the Twin Cities.
The Union Gospel Mission provides an opportunity for youth, young adults, and families to worship God together through evangelism and service to others. This is a Christ-exalting ministry that desires not only to provide for the physical needs of the homeless but also satisfy their souls with spiritual food at the same time. It is an excellent opportunity for families who want to serve together and share the Gospel with others in a structured environment. It is also recommended for those new to evangelism.

The Vision of UGM

The Charge:

Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house. Isaiah 58:7

Pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted. Isaiah 58:10

The Blessing:

And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in. Isaiah 58:11-12

The Purpose:

So they shall fear the name of the Lord from the west and his glory from the rising of the sun. Isaiah 59:19

Serving at UGM

Bethlehem senior high young adults, parents, and other adults are invited to meet at the Downtown Campus every third Sunday at 3:30pm. We will prepare bag lunches for the men and then bring them over to UGM together. Our team from Bethlehem will lead a devotional and prayer time. From 5:30pm-6:30pm, we will serve the bag lunches and visit with the men, and we will return to Bethlehem by 7pm. On odd-numbered months, our Bethlehem team has the responsibility to lead the chapel service. We provide the worship team and the preacher, and we join the men for the service. On those days, we will return to Bethlehem by 9pm.

This mission outreach is fully funded by donations from our Senior High Young Adults across all three campuses.
