Dear Bethlehem,

You are blessing the poorest of the poor in the name of Jesus. Because of your generous giving through the Global Diaconate task force in 2009, we have been able to aid the following groups:

Women in Guinea West Africa have been trained in Community Health Evangelism to have healthier and happier homes with Jesus as the center.

Pastors in Ecuador have been equipped to save young girls from being sold into sex slavery.

Pakistanis have water again after their wells and water pipes were severely damaged in an earthquake.

Female children in India are being rescued from prostitution, and those responsible are being prosecuted.

Hungry children in Zimbabwe were given food.

Young women in India were saved from human trafficking, and they attended a camp in India where they found the forgiveness and love of Jesus offered by a Bethlehem team.

A community in Pakistan determined its needs, and a new school is being planned to provide an alternative to the brainwashing education of the Taliban.

Community members in Bangladesh are training to care for sexually exploited women and children.

Philippinos received relief kits from members of Bethlehem after Typhoon Ondoy wiped out their homes.

Kenyans are farming God’s way and saving their land as a result of materials authored by one of Bethlehem’s global partners.

Street children in Rio de Janeiro suffering from trauma will receive counseling to find hope in Jesus.

And now in 2010, more Haitians will receive medical help, will drink fresh water, and will hear of the Living Water—Jesus.

Every time we give to Treasuring Christ Together to help our church grow, a beautiful tithe of 10% blesses the poor around the world. The Global Diaconate task force is a group of 11 members of our church who pray, evaluate needs and proposals, and disburse those TCT funds.

See the Global Diaconate Blog for more details of our activity: globaldiaconate.wordpress.com.
