October 1, 2009 TCT is our ongoing strategy to fulfill our mission through a multiplying movement of campuses, new churches, and a Global Diaconate, united by a common mission and founded on a common biblical life and doctrine.
Glory of Christ Baptist Church, a 2007 TCT church plant, recently changed their name to Glory of Christ Fellowship to reflect their emphasis on living out the Christian life in community. They have grown from 25 people to an average Sunday attendance of 135 and, more important, they are growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ as they seek to teach, pray, and obey the Word of God together. They have become the sending "home church" for a missionary in India who founded an orphanage that presently serves 21 children. Two members of the church recently took a trip there, and another team of four is scheduled to go back in mid-January. Glory of Christ Fellowship has also been active in various mission work in Peru, Italy, East Africa, and West Africa. Thank you for praying.
The pastors of our TCT Church Planting Network recently gathered in Minneapolis for a two-day quarterly meeting before the Desiring God National Conference. They enjoyed a time of refreshment and worship, and their wives joined them on the second day of their fellowship. Each church planter gave a ministry report, and after each update, they prayed together for the requests. A great spirit of unity and mutual support marked the gathering.
