My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not your mother’s teaching. Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck.
Treasuring Christ Together
TCT is our ongoing strategy to fulfill our mission through a multiplying movement of campuses, new churches, and a Global Diaconate, united by a common mission and founded on a common biblical life and doctrine.
Global Diaconate Update, November 2010
Pakistan
We are providing tents for people in Pakistan for needed shelter following the devastating floods in September 2010. This project uses local labor and material to build familiar, traditional structures made from tightly woven wool.
We are also helping to provide copies of the JESUS film in five different languages, with self-contained, rechargeable DVD players and gospel messages on cassette with hand-crank cassette players.
Believers working in 30 districts of the flood-affected areas of Pakistan will be able to distribute the film to flood survivors.
Cambodia
We are supporting Agape International Missions, an anti-trafficking agency in Cambodia.
Funds will be used for a project that provides counseling services to 20 rescued girls for one year. Counselors use biblical counseling approaches and therapy that is adapted to the culture.
Ecuador
We have sent funds to Peace and Hope International, an international Christian human rights organization working in Cuenca, Ecuador, where trafficking is prevalent.
Funds will be used to 1) print biblical, anti-trafficking training and awareness materials, 2) train pastors, church leaders and their families as advocates, and 3) create programs designed to raise awareness within churches and poor communities.
