TCT Tear-Off November 09

Date Given:
November 1, 2009

TCT is our ongoing strategy to fulfill our mission through a multiplying movement of campuses, new churches, and a Global Diaconate, united by a common mission and founded on a common biblical life and doctrine.

Praise God with us in this overview of how your TCT dollars have been used through the Global Diaconate to care for the displaced and bring hope to the hungry during August, September, and October:

Nehemiah Project, Manila, Philippines

Typhoon Relief. The Global Diaconate has partnered with The Nehemiah Project to assist with the relief efforts for the Filipino people of Metro Manila who are experiencing the devastating effects of Tropical Storm Kestana/Typhoon Ondoy. The Nehemiah Project is a non-profit organization which focuses on church planting and emergency & humanitarian relief efforts. Funds were used to purchase emergency food, water, medicine, and supplies to meet the immediate needs of the displaced Filipinos.

Short-Term Team. Six members from Bethlehem Baptist Church were sent out to assist The Nehemiah Project team in typhoon relief efforts. The team served in medical clinics, food and clothing distribution, and in other ways alongside The Nehemiah Project teams.

Care of Creation, Kenya

Training Materials. Funds have been provided to assist Bethlehem missionaries Craig & Tracy Sorley to publish their new books, Christ and Creation: Our Biblical Calling to Environmental Stewardship and Farming That Brings Glory to God and Hope to the Hungry. These books will be used throughout Kenya to help train, disciple, and promote the use of God-centered farming techniques.

Pray that God grants us hearts of cheerful generosity to finish North well, so we can focus South.
Give a monthly gift designated to “TCT ” in addition to your regular financial support of Church & Missions.
Go to one of our newer campuses, or with a church planting team, or on a mercy mission with the Global Diaconate.
