My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not your mother’s teaching. Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck.
Treasuring Christ Together
TCT is our ongoing strategy to fulfill our mission through a multiplying movement of campuses, new churches, and a Global Diaconate, united by a common mission and founded on a common biblical life and doctrine.
The TCT Global Diaconate Committee has dispersed $58,5oo since the beginning of the year toward ministry among the poorest of the poor. Please pray for this committee as they partner with our missionaries and various ministries, including the following:
- Community Health Evangelism (CHE), in a project to reach Muslims in Guinea. The initiative involves using a holistic training approach, addressing both spiritual and physical needs in this region.
- Peace and Hope Partnership International, in a project to mobilize pastors and churches to raise awareness of abuse and prevent human trafficking in South America.
- Earthquake relief in response to the October 2008 earthquake in the central west area of Pakistan/Afghanistan. The funds helped provide wells for clean water and firewood to help people through the winter.
- Wheels for the World, who shared Christ’s love by transporting and fitting wheelchairs for those in need in Cameroon.
-
Faith Alliance Against Slavery & Trafficking In September 2009, Faith Alliance Against Slavery and Trafficking (FAAST) will host training for Christian organizations working to care for victims of human trafficking in Bangladesh. FAAST developed curriculum (Hands That Heal: International Curriculum to Train Caregivers of Trafficking Survivors) to train Christian caregivers to provide appropriate and holistic care for survivors of sex trafficking.
»Pray for the surpassing value of Christ to be treasured by more people through the Treasuring Christ Together vision.
»Give a monthly gift designated to "TCT " in addition to your regular financial support of Church & Missions.
»Go to one of our newer campuses, or with a church planting team, or on a mercy mission with the Global Diaconate.
