My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not your mother’s teaching. Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck.
Treasuring Christ Together
TCT is our ongoing strategy to fulfill our mission through a multiplying movement of campuses, new churches, and a Global Diaconate, united by a common mission and founded on a common biblical life and doctrine.
Global Diaconate Update, December 2010
Thank you so much for your faithful, generous giving during this difficult economic season. God has called us to be children who are generous with the treasure he so generously provides each of us to manage for his glory and our joy.
In just a few weeks, Pastor John returns to the Bethlehem pulpit from his leave, and with that return we expect a continuation of the growth God has given that led to our TCT multi-campus strategy.
Last weekend’s winter storm not only caused the Metrodome to collapse and kept thousands homebound, it also made an impact on end-of-year contributions toward Bethlehem’s C&M operating budget. With two weeks to go in our 2010 fiscal year, we need about $1,300,000 by December 31 to cover anticipated 2010 C&M expenses.
In these challenging economic times, our financial need is great, but our God is greater. Please pray for hearts of cheerful generosity this Advent season, and as the Lord leads, consider how you might participate in meeting this need. See “Updates” on hopeinGod.org for more details, and consider giving online if that is a help. Remember that all funds given over and above C&M expenses will be given to TCT’s “Building One People” campaign.
Pray that we would continue to treasure Christ together and that many more would join us in the months ahead.
Give a monthly gift designated to “TCT” in addition to your regular financial support of Church & Missions.
Go to one of our newer campuses, or with a church planting team, or on a mercy mission with the Global Diaconate.
