1. Ethiopia
   Dates: Jan 14–29, 2010
   Cost: $3000
   Team Size: 8–10 people
   Team Leader: Matthew Cain

   This team is traveling to Ethiopia to serve the church in compassion ministries. We are looking for medical professionals, teachers, entrepreneurs, and IT professionals in order to serve local missionaries and workers during a 10-day trip to Addis Ababa.

2. Myanmar
   Dates: May 30–June 13, 2010
   Cost: $2500
   Team Size: 8 people
   Team Leader: Chuck Steddom

   We will travel to Myanmar and minister alongside our Kachin brothers and do Bible teaching, discipleship, and orphanage work.

3. Northern Ireland
   Dates: July 14–31, 2010
   Cost: $1800 Team Size: 15 people
   Team Leader: Bill Walsh

   We will minister alongside a local church as they go into a Catholic neighborhood, building relationships through children, youth programs, and adult Bible studies, with the hope that Christ’s love will permeate all they say and do as they call people to treasure Christ above all things.

4. Southeast Asia
   Dates: July 3–18, 2010
   Cost: $3300
   Team Size: Up to 20 people
   Team Leader: Steve Prater

   We will travel to a variety of locations participating in ethnotourism and will seek to be the aroma of Christ in the homes of local residents, praying for many open doors to spread the gospel and for Jesus to make himself known, treasured, and worshipped. 

5. Middle East
   Dates: May 8–22, 2010 Cost: $2500 Team Size: 6–8 people
   Team Leader: Seth Magnuson

   We will partner with one of Bethlehem’s missionaries to travel around a country, visiting significant cities and sites where we will pray and seek opportunities to share the good news of Jesus with the people. We have two goals: 1) That those coming will return to the US with a greater love for Arab people and 2) That the people we visit would have positive encounters with people who love Jesus. We will also hand out Bibles and JESUS films as we are able.

6. Dominican Republic
   Dates: June 21–2, 2010 Cost: $1500 Team Size: 20 people
   Team Leader: Jon Nowlin

   We will partner with a church in Santo Domingo and help with a variety of ministries to the poor with the love of Christ.

7. Bosnia
   Date: October 2010
   Cost: $2000
   Team Size: 10 people
   Team requirements: Women
   Team Leader: Jeanie Eckblad

   We will partner with local believers and assist at a conference by leading worship, making crafts, conducting workshops, and teaching–all with the desire to strengthen the faith of local believers and give refreshment to local missionaries.

8. Bolivia
   Dates: April 2–15, 2010
   Cost: $2250
   Team Size: 15 people
   Team Leader: Bruce Dingman

   We will partner with Bethlehem missionaries, Scotty & Lisa Miser, to provide medical services to remote villages, along with prayer, evangelism, vacation Bible school, and encouragement to the Misers’ church and fellow ministers.

   Dates: October 15–18, 2009
   Cost: $75 single, $200 per family

   Date: December 31–January 3, 2010

   We will strive to love the people of Cass Lake by visiting homes and conducting sports programs, children’s ministry, and mercy ministry for the community. We pray that the aroma of Christ in us will point many people to Jesus.

10. New York City
    Dates: June 25–July 8 Cost: $1600 Team Size: 20 people
    Team Leader: John Sather

    We will explore NYC and all its diversity, and serve the local church by listening, understanding, evangelism, seeking to understand issues of poverty and biblical justice, assisting with a Vacation Bible School, and looking for long-term opportunities to serve in the future.

11. Minneapolis, Phillips Neighborhood
    Dates: July 9–21
    Cost: $150
    Team Size: 20 people
    Team Leader: Brad Nelson

    We will host and partner with a group of youth from the Dominican Republic. We will be plugged into the Hispanic Ministry at 16/33 Center and be involved with Native Ministry both in the city and at Cass Lake. We will be looking for people to host Dominican team members during this week.

Spiritual Life Conferences

We have just started a new ministry for our members living overseas and their kids called CLUB 4th.

Mission/Vision Statement: CLUB 4th is an organization developed around the unique needs of Third Culture Kids (TCK’s) with the desire and purpose to help them connect with and grow in their understanding and practical living of the 4th Culture (God’s Kingdom culture). CLUB 4th is using the unique environment of Spiritual Life Conferences to provide solid biblical teaching, worship, games, activities, and crafts for the kids in a safe, loving, and child-friendly place, while their parents are given the opportunity to connect with others in their region and to get spiritual input of their own. If you have a heart for children and desire to minister to the families by taking care of their children, this is the place for you to serve.

   We will be working with children, ages preschool through high school, at a 3-day Spiritual Life Conference. We will teach the children biblical truths in the morning and offer various activities in the afternoon while the parents are attending the conference.

2. Colorado Springs
   Dates: July 7–14, 2010
   Cost: $1500
   Team Size: 8–10 people
   Team Leader: Corrie Ayers

   We will be working with children, ages infant through 6th grade, at a 7-day Spiritual Life Conference. We will teach the children biblical truths in the morning and offer various activities in the afternoon while the parents are attending the conference.

   We will be planning activities for children, ages 5 through 17, at a 7-day Spiritual Life Conference. Each age group will have biblical teaching and activities that are age-specific.

1. Go to http://stmapplication.hopeinGod.org to fill out an application for short-term ministry.
2. E-mail your completed application, along with your $75 deposit, to shortterm@hopeinGod.org.
3. Once your application is received and reviewed, the Short Term Ministry Mobilization department will give your application to the team leader to contact you for an initial interview.
4. After the team leader’s interview, you will need to contact the Short Term Ministry Mobilization department to schedule a final interview.
