My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not your mother’s teaching. Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck.
Dear Bethlehem Members,
This letter (sent to active members to arrive near July 15, 2011) invites all members to attend our All-Church Strategy Meeting on Sunday, July 24, 6:45pm at the Downtown Campus. In addition to financial updates, membership reports, and two TCT funding request motions, we will hear from the elders regarding “where-are-we-now” in our Antioch Moment and vote on several proposed staffing changes:
- On Tuesday, June 14, 2011, the Council of Elders completed their approval of “Lead (Campus) Pastor” job descriptions. They recommend a change in duties for three current pastors (Kenny Stokes Downtown, Dan Holst North, and David Livingston South), which also leads to a recommended change in duties for another pastor (Ken Currie).
- And on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, the elders voted to recommend Jason French as a candidate to the congregation for a pastoral position at Bethlehem’s South Campus.
The pdf linked available above provides Bethlehem members with an overview of these men and the positions for which they are being considered. All are welcome to come to the meeting for discussion. Members are especially urged to attend the meeting, as we require 10% of our membership to be present in order to vote on the motion to call Jason as a pastor.

Sam Crabtree, Executive Pastor/Lead Pastor for Life Training
Summary of Letter
Jason French, candidate for the position of Pastor for Worship & Music, South Campus
(See page 2 of pdf linked above.)
Jason French is finishing a pastoral residency leading worship at the North Campus. He has a proven track record of five years of ministry with Bethlehem worship and music, which included training through The Bethlehem Institute Track 2. Before coming to Bethlehem, he spent eight years as an associate pastor for worship in Oklahoma. His heart is to worship Jesus Christ and to teach and lead others to do the same.
Recommended change in duties:
Lead (Campus) Pastors and Lead Pastor for Outreach
(See page 3 of pdf linked above.)
The elders recommend that the following three pastors officially take on new job descriptions and become Lead Pastors for each campus: Kenny Stokes (Downtown), Dan Holst (North), and David Livingston (South). In addition, the elders recommend that Ken Currie take on the role of Lead Pastor for Outreach, to replace the current role of Kenny Stokes over the spreading departments of the church.
