God has reconciled the world to himself through Jesus Christ, and we who claim allegiance to Christ have been entrusted with a “message” and a “ministry” of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18–19). As Christian parents our aim is to faithfully embrace this ministry and impart this message for the sake of our children. This series of weekly classes is designed to equip and encourage parents in their crucial role. Parents may join classes at any time during the year.

Foundation Builders (open to all, but required for those interested in dedicating)
A seminar led by David & Sally Michael
Each Foundation Builders class focuses on a significant stage of child development from a God-centered perspective. Because we believe that the church and home represent a partnership in nurturing the faith of children at Bethlehem, we encourage parents, prospective parents and persons interested in ministry to children to attend.
All Foundation Builders seminars are organized around three questions:
-
What can be done at home to nurture the faith of our children?
-
What will be done at church to nurture the faith of our children?
-
How can the church and home work together in nurturing the faith of our children?
A brief review of curriculum used for the specified age level is presented with suggestions on how parents can partner with us in imparting the truths taught in the church setting to their children.
Foundation Builders 1 (Child Dedication Class)

-
The promises parents make when dedicating their children

When You Have a Baby (or someone you know has a baby)
To have your baby announced from the pulpit and the announcement placed in the Star, call Joyce Heinrich (612-338-7653 x498)
Be ready to give the pronunciation and spelling of the baby's name, the date of the birth, and the names, spellings, and pronunciations of the parents' names. If you adopted, we would also like the date of the adoption or arrival date into the family.
When you have your baby announced, your information will be sent to those who coordinate meals for families with new babies.
