Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord."
Things Hidden: Thoughts on Backyard Bible Clubs
Bud Burk, Pastor for Child & Youth Discipleship, Downtown
I played ball, soaked up some warm sunshine, sang praises to God with a group of about 15 while the painters next door listened, talked to children about Jesus, ate snacks, held my Bible, talked with parents, talked to the UPS driver, talked to the postman, thought about what it means to treasure God above all things, prayed with a team of mothers for their children and neighborhood children, strained my back helping a child learn to ride a bike, learned how to demonstrate the fruit of patience among children by watching my sisters in the Lord love their children, prayed with a few boys and drove home exhausted with a quiet joy in my heart. I had just experienced day two of a five-day Backyard Bible Club at a friend’s house last summer.

Announcements
April 4, 8: No Wednesday Connection or Sunday School during Holy Week
The Father-Daughter Tea is SOLD OUT and currently we have a waiting list of 68 people. We are no longer accepting registrations for the waiting list.
With this news, we know there will be disappointment for our dads and daughters, but we encourage dads to make this day special for their daughters in other ways—a day at the zoo with daddy, a dress-up “date” at a nice restaurant, a picnic lunch by a lake, or a walk at the arboretum. May the Lord bless your time together.

How different is life in Minnesota from life in Indonesia? Do you wish your children could get a peek of what life is like for missionary children? Growing Up Wild is a video series produced by a missionary family serving the Lord among the Wano people of Papua, Indonesia. The episodes are 15 minutes long and include suggested activities to compare your life to theirs, learn more about our wondrous God and his works of nature, and understand the joys and challenges of missionary life. This series is a good introduction to missions for your children and will help them to understand the life of missionary children and the work of missions among tribal people.
Check out these DVDs from the Bethlehem library or purchase your own and support the Wilds at www.thewildbrothers.com
Here is how the Wilds describe their purpose in producing these videos: The "Growing Up Wild" DVD series was developed for the purpose of introducing children to the work going on in foreign mission field. Our hope is that "Growing Up Wild" will educate and challenge your children, and be used by the Lord to play a part in raising up the next generation of missionaries!
