Do you have a heart for working with girls?

This neighborhood outreach meets at Elliot Park Recreation Center (downtown Minneapolis) each Wednesday night at 6:15 from mid September 14, 2011 through May 2, 2012. It is open to all 5th and 6th grade girls from Bethlehem and the surrounding neighborhood.

The Vision

To provide a solid foundation for 5th and 6th grade girls teaching them truths of:

• God’s Word
• The salvation message
• The Christian life
• Serving Jesus
• Sharing the gospel 

Our goal is to infuse these important truths through age appropriate teaching and activities, giving girls opportunities to develop their own talents and explore and appreciate the gifts of others.

We desire to see barriers that exist in the city broken down through the love of Jesus.

Group Leader

Are you interested in leading a group of girls? We need leaders for groups of 5 or 6 girls. Your group will give them a sense of belonging and help them develop positive peer relationships.

Help them to:

• Laugh together
• Learn together
• Encourage each other
• Pray together 

Prayer Partner

Are you interested in being a Prayer Partner? We need women who would be willing to focus on and pray specifically for one girl this year. 

Responsibilities:

• Contact one girl weekly or bi-weekly by phone or email
• Remember her with a small gift at birthday and Christmastime
• Attend 2 special events October 5, 2011 & April 25, 2012
• Participate in : Feed my Starving Children October , 2011; Christmas Caroling December 14, 2011; Bowling Roller Skating January 28, 2012
• Enjoy a special activity with her
