What’s in a Word?

Published by: Sam Crabtree

Is it a rainy day, with the family cooped up indoors on vacation, and are you looking for something meaningful to do? Or are you traveling long miles in the car?

Do an acrostic of a word such as your family’s last name, or a Bible character, or your children’s grandparents. Then choose words that describe the main word you have selected. Share the results with the entire family.

Here’s an example.

The sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh passed over before the people of Israel, as Moses had told them. About 40,000 ready for war passed over before the LORD for battle, to the plains of Jericho.—Joshua 4:11–13

Treasuring Christ Together is a strategy sparked by the word of God through which Bethlehem Baptist Church pursues a vision of spreading a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all people through Jesus Christ. TCT is about uniting our 5,000 people on multiple campuses and the thousands more that the Lord may add to that number under one great vision: One God accomplishing one mission in the world through one people united by one passion in him.
