Bethlehem Baptist Church is seeking a full time Pastor for Worship & Music. The aim of the position is to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ, particularly by providing worship leadership for the staff, elders, and congregation on his campus.

Applicant shall have a good grasp and hearty endorsement of the biblical and theological orientation of the leadership of Bethlehem as expressed in our Elder Affirmation of Faith. The Pastor for Worship & Music needs to meet the spiritual and character qualifications of elder as found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9 and to exhibit the fruit of the Spirit as found in Galatians 5:22. He should be wise, discerning, decisive, sensitive, tender and firm. He should be a man of prayer and a man of the Word, sensitive to what the Spirit is saying to Bethlehem. He should devote himself to daily prayer and Bible reading for the sake of guarding himself from sin and stirring up his heart and mind to renewed passion for Christ and should lead his family in regular times in the Word and prayer.

Successful Worship Pastor Candidate must exhibit: 

• Significant years of corporate worship leadership in the local church
• Effective musical leadership with his lead instrument (voice, piano, guitar)
• Significant study or writing on the theology and practice of worship in the church context.
• Be able to pastor/equip/mentor the body of Christ and its leaders to biblically lead corporate worship
• Practice and skill on a regular basis the craft of song writing with a view to corporate worship songs
• Understanding and passion for the diversity of cultures, music styles, and heart languages that God has brought together in the local church and seek to represent this diversity in corporate worship..
