Why a Titus 2 Ministry?
Titus 2:3-5 - "Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled."
Purpose:
Because Titus 2:3-5 is not simply a suggestion, but a Biblical mandate, Bethlehem's Women's Ministry supports the discipleship ministry of the church by calling women to establish godly mentoring relationships that will encourage and equip them to live for God's glory.
Why a Titus 2 Ministry? To intentionally equip women to . . .
- understand and apply the biblical principles of womanhood in all of life
- pass on the Gospel so that others will treasure Jesus Christ and become established in their faith
- mentor/disciple younger women, showing and telling the next generation the biblical principles of womanhood
- enfold women who are not involved in women's ministries/events of the church
- give opportunity for female relationships among the women of BBC
- strengthen women in their love for and service to the church
Mentor Training
Mentor training will be offered in the fall for those desiring to be involved in nurturing, encouraging, and equipping younger women.
