SoulCare 101 Training Courses
Have you ever wondered what to say to a hurting friend? Do you ever long for someone to explore the deepest places of your soul? Do you ever want someone to stay awhile with you and keep watch?
Jesus did. In a dark night of the soul, he invited three of his friends to "remain here, and watch with me" (Matt. 26:38). James 1:19 encourages us to listen well and speak effectively. And Ephesians 4:29 invites us to "build others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
Providing soul care for others consists of keeping watch awhile, listening well, and speaking effectively, according to the need. The purpose of SoulCare 101 includes taking a rich, deep, inward look to see where you are right now in your own life spiritually, personally, emotionally, and relationally. Then the class moves on to methods and ideas that help you provide soul care for others as you learn to listen well, graciously pursue, and richly love the heart.
