Our Foreign Missionaries
A missionary is someone who goes out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles (3 John 1:7). Private material gain must not be the motive. And even genuine humanitarian concern, though crucial, is not the driving motive. Rather the missionary is propelled by a deep love for the name and glory of God. Like the apostle Paul, the missionary's aim is to "bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles, for his name's sake" (Roman 1:5).
