Global Diaconate Response to Myanmar Cyclone

The Global Diaconate is prayerfully investigating opportunities for responding to the crisis in Myanmar resulting from the recent devastation of Cyclone Nargis. This disaster occurred on May 2 and reports on dead and missing range from 60,000 to 100,000. The Government of Myanmar is typically closed to foreign assistance, particularly from the United States and other Western nations. Please pray that God will guide the Global Diaconate's discussions with potential partners in this effort as we consider how the Lord would have us participate in the relief effort. Pray especially for national Christians as they respond to the victims in the name of Jesus.
